On dirt races I now have to 'cap not only pace but which horses are likely to be just behind get sand kicked in their face. Thanks to JTH.
Done with my vegies (Friday's Card) and today I get the main course and desert. Hope it's better than the peas and spinach I had yesterday.

This was notable last year as well. Since it's installation, this dirt main track has had a different consistency in the dry late summer/early fall than it does in the wetter winter season. Undoubtedly has to do with the clay/sand makeup and how humidity/heat affect it.
