WED - Gulfstream Park (R5-R10)
Happy New Year's
Gulfstream Park POST SCRATCHES - FAST / FIRM R5 - MSW 47k #5 Casselberry (8-1) - Expecting Lanarie to have him forwardly placed with a clean break for debut. #1 Gambler's Ghost (4-1) - Showed some speed before tiring in debut as the chalk. Eligible to bounce back despite rail draw. WON $7.80 #3 Ragtime (5-1) - Phipps homebred for Shug must be used off strong string of works. 3RD #6 Bay of Plenty (3-1) - 6 panels might be a little short for Darley runner that is regally bred and one to keep an eye on as the distance gets longer. 2ND R6 - Clm 16k N2L (Turf 8.5F) #4 Prime Devil (6-1) - Didn't care one lick for off the turf event in last at nearly even money. Deserves another shot at a better price today. #3 Dixie Deputy (15-1) - Stretching out on the grass could wake him up. Don't discount chances. #8 Cairo Six (3-1) - Troubled trip in last didn't help and now drops to a level he can handle. 3RD #7 Lay It Down (4-1) - Broke through on this course and fits right back. WON $14.60 R7 - MSW 47k (Turf 8.5F) #2 Picozza (5-2) - Better post and break should do the trick for Pletcher runner. 2ND #6 Royale Sky (6-1) - Lone turf try was much better than dirt or synthetic. #9 Ironicus (8-1) - Adds lasix and has two nice works since arriving to South Florida. WON $10.60 #7 Summer Cove (3-1) - All kinds of changes are in place for a reversal from debut. 4TH R9 - Voodoo Dancer 75k (Turf 7.5F) #8 Tokyo Time (3-1) - Has been freshened up and she's shown she likes this course. #3 Tapicat (5-2) - Draws well and gets some class relief. Dangerous on the front end. WON $3.80 #2 Triple Arch (8-1) - Closed like a rocket in last and does get some pace again. 4TH #4 Coursegold (6-1) - Consistent sort has to be consider in the mix here. 3RD R10 - Gulfstream Park Derby 100k #9 General a Rod (6-1) - Draws wide again, but really improved on the dirt. Has ability to rate. WON $9.60 #2 Gone as Wind (12-1) - That looks to be a strong group he tackled 16 days ago. Value at anything close to ML. #7 Best Plan Yet (5-2) - Local star across down must prove it on bigger stage. Using cautiously. #6 Pablo Del Monte (6-1) - Burning up the local strip for initial dirt start. Great value for strong barn. 4TH R11 - Md 20k (Turf 7.5F) #5 Back to Values (8-1) - Has been competitive and fits here on step down in class. #4 Farleys Mandate (12-1) - Owns speed and lands in high % barn with an upgrade in rider. #8 Divine Michael (4-1) - Hard to endorse for top spot, but should be included underneath. PK6 - 1 3 5 6 8 / 3 4 7 8 / 2 / 3 8 / 2 7 9 / 4 5 = PK5 - 3 4 7 8 / 2 / 2 3 4 8 / 2 6 7 9 / 5 = $32 for $.50 PK4 - 2 6 / 2 3 4 8 / 2 6 7 9 / 4 5 = $32 for $.50 Good Racing Luck
