That was a different and fun day. I can't remember them all, but they ran a race clockwise, one might have been 2 miles, wasn't there one for all greys....

There was a race for 5 year old and up and the worlds fastest Daily Double with 2 races run simultaneously on dirt and turf. It was unique indeed.

I forgot about the 2 races run at the same time. That was very unique!

last year on that day, my brother says he'll drop off the form for an hour at 8:30 am. i look at the races and come up with a pick 5 play. i make the bet. he calls to tell me he's on his way, but he's says my mother is breaking his balls. She's not a ball breaker so I call her. She's talking ragtime. I put wifey on the phone, she says "your mom is having a stroke". call my brother right back and tell him, and he says "she's right ". So we call 911 ambulance comes, we get to mass general and they confirm and send her up to ICU. So it's pretty scary. They send me home that after noon. the pick 5 had gone and there was like 5 minutes to post for the next race. I figure that I spent that time that morning, I'll at least get the pick 4 bet down. I get alive to 2 hosses in the last, and get the good priced one to win. I call wifey over and say, see that $12.67 balance ? when i hit refresh its gonna say something good. Thinking I had hit the pick 4, i was happy after such a scary day. Well it turns out I forgot that i put that pick 5 bet in and hit that too. so instead of saying like $2500. it said over $18,000. I'm like WTF ? then i looked at my wagers and sho enuff at 9:34 am the bet was placed, July 6, 2013. my dad would have been 91 that day.

Am I wrong or did Bob Umphrey think up every race that was mentioned on this thread?

Hope they are ALL brought back. Couple of very fun days.
