Favorite by far was James Rockford

Remember my mom saying, 'you want to live in a trailer when you grow up?' and me thinking, 'yea, on the beach with a Firebird in front'.

Never lived on the beach, in a trailer or had a Firebird but did somehow end up with his job.

RIP

My husband is an Oklahoma native; one of his friends posted this today on her FB page:

"James Garner was a man among men. I met James when I was hired as Leilani's stand-in for "Barbarians at the Gate." James heard that I was newly arrived from Oklahoma, and ordered my set chair moved next to his. He told me that Hollywood could be particularly hard for young ladies; he said it was his duty to protect a lass from home. For the next six weeks (and a few later pick up days), I'd be greeted with that beautification smile, those twinkling eyes of his, and a call of "Hello, darlin'," as I would begin my day. "

Class act all the way.

Victor/Victoria was always one of my favorites along with him being Jim Rockford, Maverick, and in Space Cowboys.

I've always found Tank to be very underrated film.

He made a pretty good chick flick in "Murphy's Romance" with Sally Field. He also made a pretty good suspense type war movie too. Can't think of the name of it, but he played an American Army Officer that had knowledge of when and where the D Day Invasion was going to occur. Germans tried to trick him into revealing the info.

Think he was in Judgment at Nuremberg, non-speaking part, I think a juror...Great movie btw...don't remember the one you can't remember either.

The name of it was "36" hours and his co-stars were Rod Taylor and Eva Marie Saint. I just looked at something called Ranker. Didn't rank it very high. 15th best movie he was in. Great Escape ranked best. Murphy's Romance 2nd. That's ok. I enjoyed it. What do they know. They even ranked his movies with Doris Day higher.
