SAT - Gulfstream (R7-R11) & Santa Anita (R6-R9)
Gulfstream Park POST SCRATCHES - FAST / FIRM
R7 - G3 Dania Beach (Turf 7,5F) #2 Stormy Wayllen (8-1) - Draws beautifully for his stalking style and will be ready to pounce if #6 Smokem Kitten blinks. #6 Smokem Kitten (3-1) - Look for him to take control early and try to pour it on when others challenge late. Impressive debut. #4 A Lot (6-1) - Will get a firm course and Johhny V should have him closer to the pace here. Backers get a much better price today. 2ND #5 Wayward Kitten (7-2) - His tactical speed will suit him well in a race that lacks a lot of early zip. 4TH R8 - Specacular Bid 100k #9 Barbabos (6-1) - Maybe he just didn't like the lawn, because he displayed an electric turn of foot at KEE (Sloppy Sealed). Sharp bullet of 34 last Sunday indicates he's ready. WON $14.60 #10 Ready for Rye (5-2) - No shame in being 2nd to Carpe Diem in debut despite a troubled trip and then made short work of next time winners in his 2nd start (96BSF). Mawthooq was 2nd to him and is the ML favorite in Race 10 - Mucho Macho Man. Lots to like. 2ND #5 Tizcano (12-1) - Miller usually ships with a purpose and expect this one to be sent to the lead by Paco. #2 Toasting Master (7-2) - Quickest out of the gate and could be difficult to reel in if unchallenged. R9 - Ginger Brew 100k (Turf 7.5F) #3 Jersey Jules (15-1) - Two solid local works and barn is successful when adding the hood. Bred well for the turf and should be forwardly placed throughout. #9 Devine Aida (9-2) - Freshened up after showing some guts in victory across town at same distance. Adds lasix today. WON $9.40 #8 Right On Kitten (7-2) - Faces better after back to back wins to start career at second tier tracks. Attracts Castellano. #5 Sunday Sonnet (4-1) - Gets some class relief and returns to the lawn. Fits with these. 3RD R10 - Mucho Macho Man 100k #9 Mawthooq (2-1) - Could not have been more impressive making mince meat of competition at AQU. Both his races have been on a sloppy sealed track and he will not get today. Draws well. 3RD #3 Bluegrass Singer (5-1) - If he goes here, expect him to attack the front and try to hold them off late. WON $6.40 #8 Brother Bobo (9-2) - Expecting him to lay back early and make a late rally for a board finish. #4 A. Rod Again (6-1) - Showed an ability to rate and draw off in maiden win at Churchill Downs. R11 - Clm 35k N2L #6 Lunar Tales (5-1) - 2 for 2 in Turf routes and either one wins this. Don't sell short. #3 Niche (12-1) - Adds lasix after practically stopping in latest. Should take advantage of early speed and this is not the deepest field. #1 Dobra Historia (7-2) - Takes a big drop and horseplayers must determine what to do. Tricky read. #2 Classy Kid (10-1) - Has been competitive at this level North of the border and his turf races fit. PK5 - 2 4 5 6 8 9 10 / 9 10 / 3 8 9 / 9 / 3 6 = $42 for $.50 PK4 - 5 9 10 / 3 5 8 9 / 3 9 / 1 2 3 6 = $48 for $.50 Santa Anita POST SCRATCHES - FAST / FIRM R6 - Starter Alw 40k (Turf 6.5F) #3 Q'Viva (4-1) - Just missed at this level going down the hill in October. Expecting a winning late rally. 2ND #5 Denotation (12-1) - Should take advantage of early speed with a clean break. #8 Susan B Good (6-1) - Look for her to be in good position as they turn for home. #2 Hugh Knew (6-1) - Versatile runner will be best served being forwardly placed. WON $16.80 R7 - G2 Santa Ynez #8 Conquest Harlanate (6-1) - Speed aplenty lined up and look for Smitty to be rolling late. #3 Light the City (3-1) - Could prove to be too good for them on the front end. #6 Rattataptap (5-1) - Professional debut win and could get an ideal stalking trip. #1 Seduire (4-1) - Will be a serious factor with an alert break from the rail. WON $10.60 R8 - San Gabriel (Turf 9F) #9 Tom's Tribute (5-2) - Excusing his last against two top turfers and expecting a return to the winner's circle. 4TH #8 Skyring (12-1) - Lands in sharp turf barn that has had success removing the hood. Don't discount chances. #3 Dynamic Sky (7-2) - Will need top 2 to come up short as he'll be coming off the pace. R9 - Md 20k #3 Bernier (5-1) - Barn knows how to get them ready at 1st asking and it won't take much to beat this bunch. 2ND #5 Lyla Della (9-5) - Red flags go up on the drop, but obvious contender if slightly ready. #6 Profit Motive (6-1) - Another firster with a chance especially after that sharp latest work. #12 Southern Owah (9-2) - Has had chances but must be considered underneath. PK4 - 2 3 5 8 / 1 3 6 8 / 8 9 / 3 5 6 = $48 for $.50 Good Racing Luck
