Default Fumble stat shocker adds glare to Pats' duplicity

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/deflate...07565-nfl.html

Pretty damning sub-stat.. Pats don't fumble anymore since rule change allowed for teams to use their own balls.

Thing I don't understand is that an Official touched the ball to reset on EVERY single New England play and didn't recognize the balls were underinflated?

what i want to know...(and i'm so tired of hearing about the damn footballs. and for christs sake, can they stop with the -gate on everything?!)
is are they sure that the refs actually checked the psi on the balls???
also, the balls were properly inflated in the second half, when the pats really kicked butt.

just saw this:

http://larrybrownsports.com/football...atriots/253599

i've thought since the story first broke that the refs didn't check them...just signed off on them.
but, we all know the nfl doesn't want to ever fess up. i'd imagine they're hoping this all just goes away.
it is after all the same nfl who fined lynch for a lewd gesture, and then was selling a photo of the lewd gesture on its' website!!!

aaron rodgers likes his balls overinflated. brady likes them lower...why can't the qb's have it how they wish?

Have not heard this much talk about balls since Deep Throat first came out, this is the price we pay for 24/7 sports TV and radio. Anyway, should be a great game.

4 games for Brady. Pats lose 2016 1st and 2017 4th.

Can't wait for Garappolo to show he's secretly a superstar because that franchise never stops shitting horseshoes.

Brady will tell the commish to go and fu ckhimself. they have some half senile senior citizen doing the investigation take 108 days to say he probably knew.

this guy must think Brady and Kraft just got off a boat.

If I'm Sean Payton I'm pissed. He was suspended a year because he should have known, nothing for Belichick.

Couldn't agree more. That was the first thing I thought of.

yeah, still chuckle when i remember the reporter asking goodell why he didn't suspend himself a year, because he should have known!
the whole thing is ridiculous. didn't know a team could be so penalized for something that 'probably' happened.

Shouldn't the officials be fired? If there is a rule on psi shouldn't they be in charge of enforcing it by checking the balls given to them before the game starts and shouldn't they be responsible for chain of custody once balls are given to them.

exactly!! the whole thing is absurd. and i don't buy for a second that they tested the balls to begin with...and then there's the official who gave them the wrong ball, because he sold the other.

Goodall is cop/D.A./ and Judge in the same case, and wants to be in charge of the appeal too. No wonder they booed him so loudly at the draft
