true, in dubai though.. things have changed since. If I remember, Invasor was carrying more weight. No doubt, DC is good horse but not in this competition not this year. Godolphin knows it.

Are you people on crack? Discreet cat is the best horse in the WORLD! Hes won all over it. The arabs have already admitted that they dont want him to race against bernardini because it will cost him horse of the year.

Everyone needs to stop drinking the Discreet Cat KoolAid.....He was getting like 10lbs in that race in Dubai and while he has won his two races here, WHAT HAS HE FACED. if he goes in the Sprint, he will get DUSTED. From what I have heard on here and other places, he is a hard horse to keep sound also

Godolphin knows it? Has Godolphin or any of the connections said something to this effect, or are you just drawing that conclusion because they have decided to not race him?

Overmatched? Interesting. I guess you don't think much of this colt. Just to make this more interesting -- who is he overmatched against in the mile?

It's obvious they want no part of the BC with DC, and I'm not sold on him getting 1 1/4. That being said, he'll probably win the Cigar Mile, go to Dubai, win the Dubai World Cup, and retire eventually, after some teases that he'll run here. I highly doubt we ever see him on the turf, because there is no reason to run him on it.
I agree. I will say this however, it would not shock me if this horse has been on the turf. Not that it would mean anything whatsoever of course. I would like to see them stick with the plan, bring him back next year and I very much hope he comes back sound, healthy, etc. If he does we might be in for something very special.

This horse reminds me of being a Ghostzapper type without maybe being able to get a mile and a quarter. I think his best races will be a mile and an eight or less. Totally freaky and fast, but incredibly fragile. I think this horse is EXTREMELY talented. I don't have see him face more accomplished horses to know how good he is. I know this isn't much of an argument because of the circumstances in Dubai with Invasor, but he did beat him quite easily.

And when he goes to stud, breeders will line up to breed to him for $100K a pop. At the same time bemoaning in their seminars how the number of starts per horse have declined recently. I wish I could shake some sense into their heads and make them send their prime mares to Tiznow, Slew City Slew, Devil His Due, Include, instead of their third level.

I agree from what I know, but I was surprised by Tiznow. Why breed to him?
