Default Goodbye Belmont for now.

Closing day starts the wind down of the racing season for me as I always take off from the end of Nov to mid February. This summer has been by far the most enjoyable though far from profitable and I think the DT (posters) and host Steve B are owed a big thank you from me. I'll save the hugs for BC day. Just Kidding but seriously THANK YOU one and all. (even you scuds) though sometimes I do miss the fights.

I lose all interest in horse racing when they leave Belmont too. I will watch the Breeders Cup, but won't pay attention until around the Fountain of Youth at Gulfstream, and then I only follow the triple crown until they get back to Belmont.

I probably will still listen to ATRAB though because I have to get my money for my radio subscripton.

Default Thx..

Thx for the kinds words guys.. It's the Trailers that make the Forum fun and informative... and hopefully profitable. It has indeed been a great run from June to now at BEL and SAR.. I happen to love the Big A though, even the Inner Tube! Last winter was great competition thanks to PJ Campo's clever race writing, and this year should be good too...

Rev, think you'll enjoy ATRAB.. Rest of SIRIUS is terrific too..

Will travel for horses.

man,
how can you not get pumped for inner track Aqueduct.
nothing better than playing the inner track like the day before Christmas when all your friends and family are shopping, going to Church, and being all "christmasy".

and you are stuck inside your house in front of your computer with TVG on one television in the bedroom and HRTV on the other television in the den.

best time of the year.

you know what i mean though.
it runs during the holidays.
maybe its like the 23rd or somethng, but the point is that Aqueduct always seems to be there for us.
same with Santa Anita.
when all anyone wants to talk about is the season of giving and sharing and all that holiday propaganda, Aqueduct is running.
I can just watch and wager on it and its an excuse for all my family to leave me alone b/c its something they dont get.

Even as the quality of racing has slipped noticably over the past few racing seasons, the daily Belmont fare is surpassed only by Saratoga's.

Opening day of the spring meet is one of my favorite racing days of the season. Moving from Aqueduct to Belmont in early May mirrors the change of seasons. You feel rejuvenated by Belmont after a dreary winter and rainy April at "The Big A."

"Big Sandy" dseserves its moniker: Beautiful Belmont Park!
I can't agree more though Toga is as close to heaven I've ever been. Steve B. will never rest and that's why we all love him.....

cool but have you've seen toga from the patio of the que with Steve running crazy finishing a weeks work in an hour and Jerry Brown giving winners and the knowledge of 60 beers cooling and watching it all?
My Heaven
Not to mention Sciacca with his golf cart, Frankel stopping by for a 'samwich' and the rest.
Fogetaboutit!

Umm guys?

Does it make you really wanna quit betting once all the Grade 1's go away for the year? Have fun betting your 6-horse fields all year. What I mean is... I do so much better betting 5k **** claimers at Mountaineer, and there's an endless supply of those races. So why do you guys pack it in for the year?

For betting purposes there's still plenty o' action. Sorry it doesn't involve Bernardini.

But Dellinger- If you're taking the winter off after the BC, have a good winter and pop your head into the board to say "hi" from time-to-time. Lata
