Default August 6 - Saratoga and WVA Derby ROI Wagers go here

Best of luck with your $100 ROI bankroll.

Thank you to RQ for scoring, and as usual looking forward to his delightful narrative. I'll even be willing to play the Grand Slam just to give his grey cells some additional exercise.

I envy your thought process, let alone your wagering approach. I'm coming around to it . . . a little anyway.

"May the Bird of Paradise fly up your nose". (You know you are really old if you remember Little Jimmy Dicken's singing this)

As the suave but elderly Maurice Chevalier character sang in "Gigi", "Ah yes, I remember it well."

But the part about an elephant caressing you with his toes sounded downright painful then and still does now. Surely you wouldn't wish that on a fellow horseplayer.

And that my friends is essentially impossible but a Bird of Paradise up your nose is a daily phenomena or at least it was back in the 70's I recall. And speaking of Maurice, I literally almost ran into him at Times Square in NY when I was around 20. As elderly as he was, he had a rather stunning lady on his arm. I even had the guts to ask for his autograph and I got it . . . "Ah yes, I remember it well".

After shooting my mouth off, I guess I have to take a shot at the Grand Slam. How often do you get a run of all stakes races, ending in a Grade 1 with a world class horse like Frosted as a viable single. Price won't be much if it hits, so I'll need to have multiple wins to make it worthwhile.

Here goes:

Race 7: $8 Grand Slam

R7: 1,7
R8: 3,5,7
R9: 3,6
R10: 4 (Total $96)

Good luck to all and thank you to RQ for scoring. I'm hoping that this one gives you a challenge to score, not just a -$96.
