Bc . . . Q&a!?
How many of you think Found has a legit chance to win the Classic> Good question DG. My answer is - I think she has an excellent chance and am happy to see here entered.
And I'm not why the C and the A won't stay caps?

Yes, Found has a legit chance to win the Classic. You just can't throw out a horse with her class and proven ability to win, trained by a world class trainer.
That said, she will not be used to any great extent on any of my win tickets. I frankly think that she has a much better chance of repeating last year's win in the Turf, her preferred surface, than of beating one of the best dirt horses in the world on his preferred surface at his preferred distance. Found has amassed over $7,000,000 of winnings, but not one $ of that has been earned on the dirt. I would worry that a win bet on her is a guess that she will like the dirt and will also fit the likely race shape. She seems to prefer to run well back, stay covered up, and then unleash a very strong closing burst at the end. That fits the profile of the very classiest turf runners, but she might be left with too much to do in a typical 1 1/4 dirt race that will have a faster pace than she is used to. On top of that, I think she will get a lot of play based on connections and reputation, and won't offer the sort of value need for a horse trying something for the first time. But, that's just me. If she wins, I'll applaud a wonderful training job of a great horse. My dilemma in the Classic is what to make of Arrogate's amazing performance in the Travers. You just don't beat that strong a field in track record time without having lots of talent. But, is he going to be able to duplicate that effort against a horse who has run that type of race on a number of occasions, or will he regress from his Travers effort just a little? In a horizontal ticket, I'd use both Arrogate and Found heavily underneath, but only sparingly on top, with a bit more on Arrrogate than Found. |

And Nyquist is out but not sure he would figure in the mix anyway. You're right, if it was the Turf Classic, she would be the money ball (pool room jargon). The way Chrome is running, it's hard to get past him . . . but he will be the fav and bet down I'm sure.

Caps Answer
DON ASKS: And I'm not why the Q and the A won't stay caps?
It's one of those quirky technical issues that only happens on some sites ----- but not all I found that if you had put a space after the Q it woulda worked (Q & A) Another bizarre technical oddity: If I type something on my own email first in caps Then copy it onto the thread => CAPS remain as written BUT IF I try to do Caps directly on the thread it causes this to happen ==> SAW YO TODAY T |

Found, no, not winning. Now I just jinxed it, right? I want to see CC win. I mean, if CC can win the Dubai World Cup with the saddle slipping down his back and not miss a beat, come on now. I wonder how Frosted will do, I hope he hits the board.
I think the race of the meet is the Distaff. I SO want Beholder to win. But I'm thinking...maybe Stellar Wind. I pray with all my heart that Beholder gets an outside post as that would suit her much better and she can settle close behind. No more front running! This year we (my daughter and I) have a lot of horses in our fantasy stable running and...retiring. We are so stoked and sad at the same time. |

I'm with ya Plen on Beholder but I she's had a bad habit of being the bridesmaid lately. Stellar Wind has her figured out, I think. I'll have to go with Stellar Wind right now to win the way she's been running. The Curlin factor is coming out in her. But if Beholder wins I'll be glad I made the wrong pick.
Then again Beholder loves SA, 13 wins out of 15 races but Stellar Wind has 4 out of 5 wins there . . . toss up . . . and if they have Beholder ready it can happen.
