Default NYRA Knockers TAKE THIS!!!

http://news.bloodhorse.com/viewstory.asp?id=36003

This is for all the walking garbage that bashes NYRA constantly for no reason. Revolution I hope this doesnt ruin the circle jerk you boys have nightly.
Gee, and without polytrack? LOL!!!!
Great job by NYRA once again. Saratoga up, Belmont fall up, this is called a trend.

I think it worked in reverse for the New York Tracks. All the money that could have possibly been spent at Keeneland was transitioned to a more honest, familiar, surface. Real American racing is taking place in NY right now, not Keeneland. Wherever the racing is, that is where the money will be.

You are correct. This was astonishing news as they lost a ton of handle on JCGC day with the small fields and prohibitive favorites.
Quite frankly when this was announced, I was stunned.
I figured that the hit the they took on JCGC day would surely hurt them badly.
Guess people like this dirt racing stuff to bet on after all.
Wonder how the Empire racing boys will try and spin this? Their attempt to spin the handle gain at Saratoga was to say that not enough people were shopping on Broadway. They actually said that, to reporters!!!!!
How do you figure they will spin this one?

They wont be able to spin it when Keeneland discloses the handle they have produced. I figure there is probably about a Million dollars daily being swung out to NY in favor of conventional racing. Not for the fact Keeneland doesnt have a quality product, because they do. The best horses just arent winning there. Serious handicappers are in the game to make money, not piss it away in awe of a new surface.

Excellent points by Gary Delabonte. lol

The really funny thing though is how NYRA just left out Breeders Cup weekend from last year. If they included it the numbers would be down. What do we just pick the numbers we like. Last I checked the point was to increase handle no matter what, and NYRA did not do that.

It is like a pizza parlor in a Superbowl city going out of business and saying our revenue was up this year if you don't count the superbowl weekend from last year. Who cares. The revenues are still down.

Only 3 more racing days at KEE. C'mon now. Put yer money where your mouth...er...keyboard...is.

I mean, if you are not so confident, let's just stick to the $100. You decide.
Ill take you on that idiotic bet. You are out of your mind if you think they are up. Too bad I will not be at the BC to take your money.

Through 208 race dates this year, NYRA all-sources wagering is averaging $10.7 million per day, up 2.3%.

A whopping 2.3%. LOL.

Are you people really that stupid? They took out last years biggest day to fudge the numbers. What a surprise that NYRA is playing with numbers.

Handle could be up 500%, and it wouldn't matter because the mobsters at NYRA would find a way to lose money.

Hey rocket scientist Oracle, HOW COME NYRA IS STILL LOSING MONEY?

Answer that question?

Also, do you know what the increases or decreases have been at Keeneland or are you just making up stuff as usual.

BYE BYE NYRA. Spitzer's election means it is all over for the NYRA criminals.

I believe in Facts, not fudged numbers. NYRA is a corrupt "non-profit" that loses millions each year.

Give me a break. They got 70,000 at the Spa for blanket giveway day. The real attendance was probably 30,000. At Belmont on Oct 7 with 5 G1s on the card, they gave away the same blanket and with spinners the attendance was 16,500. There were not more than 8000 people at Belmont that day. I was there. Bunch of phony numbers if you ask me.

I think NYRA does a super job. The only thing I'd like to see is the poly at all 3tracks. If the NYRA was like Churchill you'd really see a HUGE decline in attendance. It would kill the Saratoga meet.

I was there, too. We arrived five minutes after the giveaway ended, so even though there were about two thousand left over blankets, our paid admissions got us nothing. It looked like a bigger wasteland than three years ago when we saw Mineshaft run away with the Woodward. NY fans are simply not supporting Belmont or Aqueduct. The Meadowlands and Monmouth have bigger crowds.

Belmont and Aqueduct are ghost towns. NYRA has done an absolutely miserable job marketing the two tracks with their stupid commercials about horse names. They have no concerts there, nothing. It is a complete joke.
