Worst ride ever on cynthiana in the last at Santa Anita today. How does this guy still have a job?

Donegal Racing fired him 2 years ago for his rides on Keen Ice and Dullahan. Hope he gets his life straightened out, but I doubt that will ever happen.

In my mind I know she's the best horse in the race with good odds. Then I have to deal with Desormeaux on her back.

Can't justify horse racing to my son in law who is new to the "sport". Maybe I should wonder why I justify it to myself.

Perhaps both you and your son in law ought to find a new "sport". Kent D's personal issues have been well documented, but this assertion is nebulous, disparaging, and unfounded.

There was nothing wrong with that ride. Bad luck, period.

What was so bad about the ride? He saved every inch of ground around the track but was blocked in the stretch, I didn't see a point where he could safely get out and get his horse clear for a run.

Seems to me that the horse was unlucky, not the victim of a bad ride.

What is the number one job of a jockey? There's a reason she was blocked in the stretch.

Seemed to me the horse was blocked because a hole never opened up. That is unlucky.

What is the reason you can't justify horse racing to your son?
