having never been to Louisville, i dont have any knowledge of the food..

i bet you can find a kentucky fried chicken though.

try to google find the zip code of the track, then google the zip code and 'food'

Kasept has been there, perhaps he has data

there is a DERBY restaurant ..they used to advertise on TVG about 1000 times a day

I use trip advisor alot when trying to search out decent grub when I'm.out on the trail. Will get you top rated joins in proximity to where your at with lots of user reviews and info. What area are you staying?

What day are you arriving Max? Derby Night you will be lucky to get to a restaurant by 8:30. Bardstown Rd and St. Matthews on the east side of Louisville have a lot of dining options. I would suggest a brunch or lunch on Saturday.

I highly recommend Pat's Steak House. Fabulous food in a racing atmosphere and lots of horsemen are regulars. Bristol Café has a couple of locations and the food is reasonably-priced and terrific.
