Derby prep final quarter time

Does anyone know of a web site or publication that would have
the "last quarter" times of the prep races.

There seems to be a lot of pace early in the race 5-6,
Therefore, I think the final quarter times might be of significance.

Chef-de-race used to have this data, but that site is gone

I think its important to get a handle on which colt can run fastest in the final quarter...I guess its not an important database to you

when you asked your question I thought it was for THIS YEARS preps. What difference does it make knowing what horses from past derbys have run. This is 2017 with different horses! Who gives a **** what I'll have Another ran in a prep race 5 years ago?

I am like the guy who posted the thread-I used the Chef site alot and now that its gone I am trying to find the same info other places(Kinda Hard)

I wouldn't have complained and posted the info if he didn't start 3 threads on the same topic. One is sufficient. It makes things hard to follow here.

The thread on being a slow derby is focused on how this derby 143's time will compare to the other derbies in the past..

This current derby 143 time thread is focused on derby 143 contenders and their struggles amongst this group of 2017 colts

2 threads similar topics, one on current contenders, one on a historical perspective..

1) within 143, (this thread)
2) comparing 143 to the other 1 through 142 ( slow derby thread)

2)We need to assess with statistics how fast or slow these preps have been.
We need a listing of fractional times.

Anyone have that data

In looking at the final pages of the brisnet file, i have noticed that all of the early favorites in kentucky have the best times in the early pace, but in the late pace column, the fav's seem to be the slowest.

I need to assess who will carry the pace and have kick to win at 10f.

Who has this ability this year ?

according to bris...no colt does.

I corrected the elapsed and incremental pace for both horses in the SA Derby using the chart through formulator. The point remains the same...Creative Cause ran the faster final 3/8ths in the SA Derby and should have been the pick using your criteria. Not to mention you are using raw times without regard to the speed of the track.

I'm not picking anything here, just formatting past data in a form that might have meaning.

The time you quote for creative cause..he lost to IHA in SA and In CD, so I'm not sure what your point is

I stated the point...he lost by a whisker at sa and came home faster in the final 3/8. The data you post is reverse engineering, taking a result ( ky derby ) and using a previous result ( sa derby ) to fit your criteria ( fastest closing time in prep race ) only you ignored a faster closing time. Not only that, you cherry picked derby results that fit your theory, while ignoring countless other years where the horse with the fastest closing time in a prep failed to win the derby.

creative cause while a good horse LOST to I'll have another.

try not to miss the fact that Always Dreaming ran a faster final prep than 2 time HOY California Chrome.
