The Longines Kentucky Oaks post position draw – a traditional “pill pull” in which horses’ entry blanks are pulled simultaneously with a numbered pill to determine what stall a horse will break from the starting gate – will be held in The Parlay Media Briefing Room on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at 11 a.m. ET.

It's amazing that even the Oaks draw has a sponsor, Longines. It doesn't even appear that it will be televised.

Derby Draw info is somewhat incorrect.

Draw is being held 11:00-11:30 on the 2nd floor (Aristides Room). It will be radio broadcast on 'At the Races' and Mike Penna & Jude Feld will be joining me for simulcasting on HRRN. The video of the draw will be taped delay broadcast on MSNBC 5:30-6:00.

The benefit of the 11-11:30 draw is of course that the complete overnight & PP's for the Derby Day card will be available much earlier in the afternoon as a result. Churchill will likely be moving these draws to Monday & Tuesday next year providing extra day for capping of the weekend.

I'll carry the Oaks Draw audio Tuesday, but won't cover it the way we'll cover the Derby Draw.

Good move. It's a lot to get through in what amounts to 40 hours between Wednesday when the card comes out and first post for Oaks day.

The draw was always painful to watch. Not sure who was in charge of that programming but it was 1 step above a public access show

The 5/3 TV listings for NBCSN shows "My Kentucky Home. Tom Hammond takes a look at how Kentucky came to be the home of Thoroughbred racing" from 5:00pm to 5:30pm.

I think Spielberg is directing this year.
