Default ROI Results 6/10 @ Belmont

11 went to the gate in the Belmont and 11 went to the gate at the Call To Post. In both contests
there was only one winner. In the Belmont Tapwrit took the 3rd leg of the Triple Crown and in our
contest El Prado shook off the rust and led our field. There were actually two races. For 3rd and
4th place Real Quiet and the Don mixed it up in the 5th race. RQ took the exacta route and DG
took the trifecta route. Real Quiet edged out Don Guido for the show spot but both were well back
of the runaway leaders. First place and second went down to the wire in race 10. Both El Prado
and Cruzan picked Ascend to win the Manhattan and both had hugh days by picking the $57
winner. El Prado however had $10 more on the Gray/Roan and took home $1710
virtual dollars with Cruzan nailing $1425. Super picks by both El Prado and Cruzan and both
players move into the top five scores of the year. Honorable mention goes to Ruffian who
shouda picked Ascend and coulda picked Tapwrit but Don will not allow me to score coulda,
shouda, woulda's as much as I protest <grin>. Congrats to all the winners including Tapwrit.
Following are the unofficial results pending any objections. See you all next week wherever
Don takes us again and again and again. Can't someone derail this Texas Point Contest
Tornado? I've tried but the man is like a pitbull! Super job Don hitting four straight trifecta's

The phrase "moving like a tremendous machine" quickly comes to mind.

Default Ascend

TO PLAY OR NOT TO PLAY WAS THE QUESTION = RE: ASCEND

MY STUPID DECISION IN ROI TO NOT PLAY ASCEND
==> WHO WAS ON MY ORIGINAL ROI LIST... <==

SAW EP HAD $60 WIN ON HIM AND CHOSE TO NOT USE
O DUMB ME =
JUST A DAY OF MY HEAD UP MY WAZOO

On the Silver Lining Side:
I DID play ASCEND in Public Handicapper & Tapwrit
That vaulted me from the Clouds to #2 In Standings!

I think what I saw in Ascend was a colt that was getting good in a hurry and the trainer saw enough that they decided to take a shot. So I did too. The race worked out the way I hoped it would.
