Default New Record Low

I know in other sports it's quite easy to pull up statistics. But I would think Saturday's Pimlico card has to rank up there with the lowest payouts in history on a 10+ race card.

As someone that looks at handle numbers pretty closely, I am absolutely baffled as to how they could have had their third highest handle numbers on Saturday. Unlike their made up attendance numbers, handle can't be faked.

I guess the handle woukd have been more if NYRA bets wasn’t down again on a big day........
Did those huge Saratoga attendance numbers include spinners ?
Of course at $7 a pop ,all the locals who did spin are now priced out. Pretty soon they’ll be charging per chair and cooler too.

The "upside" of routinely short prices is better turnover for the big players who play only favorites, I suppose.

I'm baffled too, though. Unfortunately, I thought the card was really good pre-scratches and miserable after. Probably bet half of what I normally would.
