Saratoga Race 6 July 29th
Can someone explain how that was a dead heat for place? The live feed was somewhat convincing that the 9 hit the wire first. The photo does not detail who hit the wire because its blocked by the outside horse who won the race. The head of the number 9 was ahead in the photo and the 5 was inches behind. Do the stewards have other sources of information or photos that determine a dead heat that's not privy to the public?

Placing Judges determine order of finish. And yes, they have the benefit of a mirror image when stand side photo view is obscured.

They only show the mirror image sometimes though. There's usually a reason why they don't. Still never showed Songbird and Beholder mirror image. And race 6 was 4-9 all day. That dead heat was bull shurt just like yesterday when the 5 beat the deuce .

I didn't see the image on the Bowling Green but it looked like to me the 5 held on. Anybody have it?
