Default Oct 27 Venue a couple of choices . . . ?

Belmont with 2 non graded stake and GIII or Churhill as "somewhat of a warm up" going into BC Days up next.

I'm really neutral . . . have at it!!!

Don, I don't think that live racing at Churchill Downs begins until Sunday, Oct 28. I believe that Keeneland is still racing on the 27th.

Whatever you choose will be just fine with me. With the BC advance entries announced yesterday, I find myself much more interested in next weekend rather than this one.

p.s. - just checked the Weather Channel for New York City weather for Saturday. It doesn't look all that great - chance of rain about 80%, rainfall could amount to 1/2 inch, winds NE at 20-30 MPH, in short, a typical "noreaster".

Yes, rain all day here in the north east area on Saturday.

Keeneland or Santa Anita for me.

Field size for each race probably slightly bigger at Keeneland, if that makes a difference, but weather probably going to be better at Santa Anita. 40% chance of rain in Lexington on Saturday. Doesn't matter to me. My play has been pretty lousy everywhere. Hoping for redemption in the BC!!

It's fortunate that Don Guido chose a West Coast venue for today's contest. Belmont has just announced that their Saturday card has been cancelled due to "dangerously high winds associated with a powerful coastal storm to impact Long Island and the New York City area throughout the day."

When I looked in at the last couple of races at Keeneland yesterday afternoon, it was raining very hard. A couple of trainers at Churchill have moved scheduled breezes for BC runners from this morning to tomorrow, although by now the serious workouts should have been completed and activity is more for maintenance.

All in all, very good choice, Don Guido.
