Default nfl 11/5

1/2 of total wager on dogs goes to the money line.

CINCY +3 @ Baltimore
Bungles HAVE to win this game or their year is probably in the tank. A win puts them back on top in the division, controlling their destiny. They would have road wins at Pitt and Balt. in the can. Plus Cincy needs to re-assert themselves on both sides of the line. The Ravens are playing well, and Billick is a better coach than Lewis. The Bungles need to break the Ravens' macho attitude early and often.

WASHINGTON +3 vs.Dallas
No one needs a home win more than the Skins. They have been the league's biggest embarrassment, and must improve tremendously right now. The cannot get blown out in this game. The Cowboys probably aren't as good as they finished last week, and Romo might not keep it going. He had a huge emotional lift from his teammates last week. Let's hope Brunell has a good game. If he doesn't play, this wager is off.

ATLANTA -5 @ Detroit
Falcoons are going well now, and a trip through the Lyons and Motown may not slow them down.

SF +5 vs.Minny
Time for the 9ers to be competitive as a home dog against a beaten-up humiliated, deflated Viking squad.
I don't see Minny bouncing back convincingly, and possibly being upset.

DENVER +2.5 @ Pitt
Could be a major trap here, as the Steelers are due to pound someone, especially at home after their recent streak. Broncos are a tough team to man-handle. I like Dinver on both sides of the line here, and expect a low-scoring game. Hope I am not being suckered.

INDY +3 @ NE
Possibly another trap, as the Pats are playing as well as anyone. Belichick is smarter than Dungy. Just when you think NE is going to pound it on the ground all night behind their awesome rb group, Brady lights it up throwing to the new guys. Time for Dungy and Peyton to show they are worthy.

TAMPA +1 vs.New Orleans
I was thinking about how I left out this game, and I agree with big. The Bucs get a somewhat over-rated Saint team at home, with a chance to get another win. Victories won't come easy, and will be few for Tampa, so they have to cash in here. With Bush and Horn nicked up, it comes down to Brees and the Duece. No enough, imo, as the Tampa D shuts down the Saints, with Gradowski improving to do just enough for the win.
TAMPA is +1 at +101 and +104 on the ml, so I might as well just grab the +1 here.

Good luck to everyone!

I'm only betting one game, and that's the falcons to roll. The falcons -5, they roll easy!

Sorry about your luck, Irish.
I blew that one also.
We can get it back going against the Lions again this week.

I ended up 4-3, with the big plus being that all four wins were also dog money line wins.

Maybe jackofhearts IS the best nfl capper on da derby trail!

ok, I'm gonna try to get my money back against the Lions like you said. Give me the 49ers moneyline against the Lions this week, they are bound to fall back to reality after a big win. The Lions will come out cold after how good they played against Atlanta. I'll probably put $100 moneyline and $100 taking the 6 pts.
