Default Venue for April 27, hmmmmmm . . .

So we could go to Churchill for Opening Night to get a feel for the track or Golden Gate Fields with 6 Stakes including the GIII San Francisco mlle? Not sure if going to CD gives us much of a feel for the racing quality we'll see on Derby Day and we have been there many times before.

I guess I'm leaning towards Golden Gate. Thoughts?

I don't think that we have been to Golden Gate since Russell Baze retired. It should be an interesting change of pace. The program is part of what they are calling Gold Rush Weekend.

You're absolutely correct RQ. I had blotted it completely out of my mind despite all of the banter about the locale. It must be true that the mind is the second thing to go as one ages.

I can think about ten things that are going but I forgot the other 8.

Ok, we have it. Get ready for Golden Gate Fields. Points and ROI threads to follow.

As we have for many, many years . . . we are playing the full CD card. The undercard races on Derby Day, Preakness and Belmont always attract high quality horses, jocks and trainers. Besides we've been making Plen's job to easy lately with 8 and 9 race cards , I'm kidding Plen.
