Here's the last info I found. Probably won't get a final decision until they look at him on Friday.
"Haikal, the Grade 3 Gotham winner, has an abscess in his left front foot, putting his status for Saturday’s Kentucky Derby in jeopardy. Haikal did not train Thursday. Trainer Kiaran McLaughlin is hoping to be able to train him Friday. ”We’re soaking it and hoping for the best,” McLaughlin said. “He will train tomorrow and go from there. We’re hopeful, but it’s a tough call.”" |

Nice ML Odds on the favs 5-1 and 9-2 currently but they won't stay there. Max Security and Tacitus now 8-1, also nice odds. I read there may be a third defection.

Hate to see that happen. Something to keep in mind - if there are fewer than 20 runners, I'm pretty sure that gate #1 will be the first vacated, so that the runners will break from gates 2-20, thereby reducing the difficulties that War of Will could have in establishing his position.
