Thunder Snow = Out
NEWS ALERT
Thunder Snow Scratched from Whitney Godolphin's multiple group 1 winner Thunder Snow, back-to-back winner of the Dubai World Cup Sponsored by Emirates Airline (G1) at Meydan for trainer Saeed bin Suroor, will not run in the Aug. 3 Whitney Stakes (G1) at Saratoga Race Course. "We took him to the track this morning and he came back to the barn and coughed a few times. We took his temperature and he's running a little bit of a fever. In the best interests of the horse, we will be passing on the Whitney today," bin Suroor said. VIEW FULL STORY BLOODHORSE =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= MY FAVORITE IS OUT BRING ON MY POUT |

Certainly cuts down on our options for a number of races. Many of us are going to have very similar picks.
Don't think that there are weather issues - races are still on the turf. Many of the scratches are non-contenders in the minor stakes races. Could they have been entered just to flesh out the fields and see how tough these smaller stakes were going to be? |
