Default ROI Results 4/11 @ Oaklawn

Well. As good as last week was, this week was just as bad. As a group we got shut out
of collecting points. There were 3 winning tickets cashed but none showed a profit.
Saturday was a mixture of longshots and favorites and outside of the cashed tickets only
Roamin made a run at the winners circle but fell a half length short. No offense to Cal
but I guess you can't stay in Arkansas too long. Like everywhere else the racetrack is
the winner. But that doesn't stop us from trying. With luck we will show up at some track
next week. Time will tell and we could be Razorbacks once again. Or Gators. Or Sooners.
Or Cornhuskers. Or Bystanders. Hope it's not the latter. Stay safe everyone.

Obviously, social distancing seems to be working in Arkansas. It seems to be slowing the number of new cases of the virus. About 1400 positives being reported in the state and about 30 deaths. Garland County where Oaklawn is located has about 100 positives and 0 deaths.

I apologize for doing a bit of a rant about people in the paddock at Oaklawn not wearing masks, but to me it just seemed so dumb for jockeys and the gate crew and outriders to have masks on and none of the people in the paddock having them where people were in such close contact. Anyway, hopefully, Oaklawn will not close down between now and next weekend should that be the destination that Miz Ruffian chooses.

Glad to hear that Arkansas has slowed down with the virus. In these times I will latch on to any good news I can find. This area provides nothing but gloom and doom.
