I'm going to have to skip this week. I'm making masks and selling for $5 each. I sew during the day and go to the local grocery store parking lot in the evening. Yesterday, I sold out within 10 minutes of arriving. People are desperate for them. I'm going to work this weekend to make as many as I can.
Stay safe, y'all. |

I was thinking about that very thing last night. I have one of the N95 masks, but not sure whether I can continue to use it. As we all know, the internet is chock full of both information and misinformation. I've read that an N95 should only be used once and also read that it can be used up to 20 times, if you put it in a paper bag and leave it for 3 or 4 days. So I think I'll attempt to make a mask or two. Don't have a sewing machine and don't know how to use one so probably would sew my fingers together or some such, if I attempted to make a mask that way. I read that denim is one of the better fabrics to use. So I have found a pair of my granddaughter's old jeans from when she was about 8. Also found some velcro strips. So going to cut the legs off the jeans and slip the velcro through the cutoff legs. Probably be the dumbest looking mask anyone ever made. |

That's a good idea! I've been wearing a mask when I go out and found out that they get very warm after a while. Better to be safe, though.
There's a store in town that is charging $14 for masks! It's nice to get a little $ for my efforts and materials, but I want to help people, too. |
