PREAKNESS CONTENDERS

Concert Tour - Baffert trainee was undefeated until third in the Arkansas Derby, skipped Kentucky Derby, breezed five furlongs in 1:00 3/5 Sunday morning at Churchill. Confirmed for the Preakness. France Go de Ina - Japan-based runner, trained by Hideyuki Mori, was sixth in the UAE Derby after a flat-footed start. He's scheduled to fly to Los Angeles May 5 and to Baltimore two days later. Rombauer - Mike McCarthy trainee, an automatic qualifier by virtue of his win in the El Camino Real Derby at Golden Gate Fields, finished a well-beaten third in the G2 Blue Grass. Confirmed for the Preakness. Crowded Trade - Chad Brown trainee ran third in the G2 Wood Memorial won by 72-1 Bourbonic, who finished 13th in the Kentucky Derby. Brown is pointing Crowded Trade to the Preakness. Risk Taking - Brown is also pointing G3 Withers Stakes winner to the Preakness. He was seventh as the favorite in the Wood Memorial. Midnight Bourbon - 2020 G1 Champagne Stakes winner, trained by Hall of Famer Steve Asmussen, finished sixth in Kentucky after a wide journey. Confirmed for the Preakness. Ram - The D. Wayne Lukas-trained son of American Pharoah, a winner of two straight, is confirmed for the Preakness. Unbridled Honor - Todd Pletcher trainee, second in the Lexington, breezed a half mile in 49 4/5 seconds Saturday at Churchill Downs and is confirmed for the Preakness.
