Default ROI Results 8/20 @ Saratoga

Don's prediction came true. There were wagers to score this week at Saratoga. Not a whole
lot and not big ones but at least we had some point getters.
I guess the only real challenge was offered by Indian Hemp who had 4 out of 5 winners
and a 2nd in his pick 5 array. I think next Saturday is the Travers so we'll probably be
there unless Ruffian wins the Points Contest and there's a 20 race card at the Fairgrounds.
Check you scores and if I missed anything let me know. It was close and you never know
so it's not official until it's official. And the Grand Slam often "slams me". Which it did.

WIN... Joly B... +$57.60... R 7: $8 GS: 1,5 / 1 / 1,9 / 4... $153.60

Sorry to say this but there is an inquiry in progress. My Grand Slam calculations are apparently wrong and Joly B is probably the real winner. I'm getting the combinations right on this wager but not the correct totals. My apologies to Digger for the mistake.

Joly B is actually Saturday's winner. He had 4 winning grand slam tickets each worth $4.80 for a total of $19.20. His base wager was $8 so that comes out to $153.60 and the win. I was basing his total on a $1 bet.

That Grand Slam is a confusing wager and not one we encounter all that often so easy to see how a mistake could be made, but it's all corrected now, so kudos to Joly.

Real Quiet, thank you very much for reviewing the scoring on my admittedly quirky bet. I don't know who at NYRA dreamed it up, but I find it tantalizing to structure. I keep dreaming of playing a 3x3x3x1 ticket and hitting all 27 potential combinations. Hopefully I'll do that at a NYRA track for real $$ and where they have a mainframe computer to do the calcs, and not burden you with that.
