King's Plate
Anybody playing? Seems strange to call it the King's Plate after so many years as the Queen's Plate. May have to play a 20 cent Pick 3 just for the fun of it. I've narrowed the Plate itself down to just 8 runners. Surely, I can't miss. On second thought, I forgot, it is Woodbine. A place where I am seldom right.

When Great Britain once again is ruled by a Queen, they will change the name back again, just as they did in 1952 when Elizabeth II became Queen.
In the meantime, today's race is one exceedingly tough nut to crack. |

It would be an amazing year for Javier Castellano, if he wins this. Derby, Belmont and King's Plate would be quite an accomplishment. I like his horse, the 1, along with the 6, 11 and 13, but as you said, it's a very difficult race to decipher.

Could be a very long time until the Brits have another Queen considering the number of males waiting in line for the monarchy. I think we Americans played a small part in Elizabeth becoming the Queen or I guess I should say an American (Wallace-Simpson). We have over the years been a bit of a thorn in the side of the Brits considering our Revolution, Wallace Simpson and more recently Megan Markle, but on the other side of the ledger there were little things like World Wars I and II to help set things right.
