ROI Results 9/23 @ Parx
After a long, somewhat wet, day at the Parx we came out with three winning players and six trips
to the cashiers window. Nothing too big but a profit is a profit Zippy cashed in twice but missed out on the points board as he fell a little short. Real Quiet takes the show spot with a winning exacta in the featured Pennsylvania Derby. Digger was a little better and gets the place slot with a winning bet in race 11 and showed a profit of $60. This weeks winner was Cal who cashed not one but two exacta bets in races 10 and 13. A box in race 10 got him $62 and a key in the featured 13th came back at $28.60 and a robust $143 return. All three points cashers are still showing an overall profit as the year winds down but all three are still a ways behind this years leader Indian Hemp. Congrats on the win Cal. Nicely played. With only 6 contests left, by my count, seems pretty unlikely that I will beat or even tie the record, but sometimes you have to be happy with what has already happened and that is that I have already just about doubled my usual win count. Admittedly, most of those were some pretty cheap wins and indicate a lack of imagination on my part, but maybe, just maybe, I'm getting better at this often frustrating game.
