Kieren Fallon (from grace)
He doesn't make things easy for himself.
It's all too easy to point to this gifted, troubled man and excuse him many of his difficulties as being those of circumstance and the follies of others. But it becomes really difficult to have much sympathy for him when he compounds his problems with such an error of judgement as to test positive for illegal substances. Whilst it is understandable that the stresses of what he has experienced over the last 18 months or so may have driven him to seek solace in drugs, he surely realises that he is jeopardising himself far more by seeking such an escape. It is obviously pretty foolish to further damage his probity ahead of such an important trial, but then again that seems to be the story of his life...never doing himself any favours.
