![]() I'm sorry to report that Bart (IH) received an email from Plenilune's daughter that Jane passed away on Christmas. I had been in contact with Plen since about 2007 when she invited me to play in the point and ROI contests on forums long gone. Jane did the scoring and the heavy lifting for a number of years and loved her horses. Bart runs a fantasy contest and Jane invited me into that too in 2014. Most players run with colts and heavy hitting stakes horses but Plen loved the fillies and mares. Beholder was one of her favorites but she had a soft spot for them all. When her health was good she would tell me stories about her annual trip with her daughter to the Kentucky Oaks. Not the Derby but the day the fillies were in the spotlight. And she loved Del Mar. I was in contact with her about a month ago and she seemed in good spirits and I encouraged her to stop back and pay us a visit but life is cruel. She will be missed and not forgotten. RIP Plenilune.

![]() Since we didn't hear anything from her for so long, I assumed that maybe she had already gone. Still, it is sad to hear confirmation.

![]() Yes, this is very sad news. Jane and I exchanged quite a few emails back when she was playing and several after she moved to live with her daugher. I knew she was not well but didn't have any of the details. She was very helpful here on the forum, an extemely nice lady and was a very sharp handicapper. She knew her horses. Rest in peace Plen, I will miss you and surely remember you.
PS, thanks for posting this Pete.
