Wow, you make it sound like so much fun. Just what I'm looking for when I meet up with someone at the track, the list of rules that you must conform to. I'm guessing that one of the other rules is no John Lennon fans and no discussion of John Lennon.

If the other guy in your box is having a beer, how is that mixing beer and capping for you?

a) Little young for Lennon here, and the stuff I have heard, not really a fan

b) I am so down for some Sam Houston, I love betting their turf races there

'Pent,
I like bettin Sammy. Any of those night tracks I like bettin. Unfortunately I have no plans of being in TX for the forseeable future. But I'd love to do some betting with you as long as we're not talkin politics. Kepp that out of the equation and we'd have an alright time. Happy Holidays man

I don't really know how to do anything outside of work without mixing it with alcohol. I might try handicapping and watching the races someday without it though, just to see how it would feel to be able to tell which horse is which during the race.

Most of the time, a 12 horse field bunched up at the 3/8 pole just looks like one reallllllllllllllly big horse to me.
