Unhappy Biggest Racehorse Dissapointment

I know we go on about our fav horses but watched a mare today that ive followed since a 2 year old"well breed "cape cross" ( won its trial by 13 lengths) come second in a bush meeting for fillies & mares.
So Cape Belle (NZ) you get my BIGGEST you suck as a racehorse award !!!

Every time I get my virtual stable notification for Defer, the word disappointment comes to mind.

Mine is Private Vow. I loved this racehorse and I thought he would be a derby/bc classic winner. But he has turned out to be a little below avg.

If this is counting all time. Then mine would be Dollar Bill. Love that horse going into the Derby and has nothing but crap luck ever since. Of most recent memory that would have to be Flower Ally. I don't think I need to go into the reasons why.

Flower Alley too -- thought he would really be strong as a 4 year old. Tough time even getting him back to the track and then he did nothing.

by biggest one-day dissapointment was point given's derby.
i had been telling everyone i knew that this was the best horse in the last 20 years and i placed the single largest straight win bet of my life on him in the derby.
it turned out he was a great horse, but for whatever reason, he just didn't have it that day.

I was in the same boat. It's the only time I thought my Derby horse couldn't lose (Silver Charm was close). To make matters worse, I had PG wheeled solo on top of all my bets including one that had Monarchos and Invisible Ink underneath. Even with chalk on top, Ink on the bottom would have put me at the IRS window.

It doesn't get any better than that. Especially since we got to watch DM look like a bored show pony just a couple of weeks ago.
