Default Funny Cide?

Any news on this horse? I assume he is on Florida. But how is he doing and what races is he headed to?

Here's a link to Barclay Tagg on ATRAB with us a week ago... He's thinking a grass try here at Gulfstream and/or a PolyTrack run at KEE.. He's non-commital about what exactly, but is frank that if he can't compete that he'll be retired. In the meantime, he looks great, (John Perrotta had seen him on he track the morning we had Tagg on), and Barclay says he's happy, healthy, and full of interest on the track..

Tagg also lays out plans for Showing Up and Shobiz in the segment... (Tagg at the 45:00 mark of the 1:00 segment... Baffert (Tenfold/Midnight Lute) at the 30:00...)

Thanks Kasept. I would be interested to see how he does on a synthetic surface.

For the love of God... don't baby Nobiz with 2 preps for the Derby. This is a serious contender for the roses, possibly #1 at this point. Go the same route as Funny Cide!! Tagg is no dummy and I expect him to do it right!

In fact, I predict he'll be another Cigar, only in reverse, setting a winning streak on the grass that will be unbeaten for many years. But then, I've got a sentimental spot for old geldings. Geez...I wonder what my shrink will have to say about that statement.

Everyone cries when horses are retired early. Horses have good years and bad years. I think Funny Cide is going to have a good year. I would be thrilled to have a Funny Cide.

He finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd in grade 3s, had a 4th in a grade 2, won a NY bred stakes and finished 4th in a NY bred stakes and as I said won over 200,000 dollars. Add it all up and he was certainly one of the best 6 year olds running in America, we would all be thrilled to have a Funny Cide. HE was very good at 2, 3, 4, and 6. His only poor year was as a 5 year old.
