I'll give it a whirl....
6th Race - HCP16000s 1 Mile Turf
8 - Elegant Light (3-1) 7yr old mare is in the best form of her life. She won her last two on the dirt (in races washed off the turf, today may be the same), but seems to like the turf even better. 5 - Shakoha (15-1) This one from Kev's, NGLFBM Dept.(Not Gonna Let Ferrer Beat Me). She's on the improve, likes the distance and likes to win (7 of 22 starts). 3rd @ 30-1 4 - Alie's Dolly (12-1) Another mare in good form. She's 1 for 5 on the grass, that win came in her last grass race at this mile trip. Won @ 3-1 7th Race MCL12500 6.5f 3 - Strike Golden (6-1) Graeme Hall firster (19%) for Alexander owns a speedy gate work at Monmouth which may have been the reason for the gap in his works. Breezes at Tampa are good enough to compete at the 12.5k level. 2nd @ 9-1 $2 EX paid $23.00 5 - Rowdy's a Warrior (2-1) Centeno and Scott hook up with this Woobine shipper. Nice work on the 15th shows that this colt is okay with the sandy Tampa surface. Won @ 3-5 9 - Beano Creek (8-1) Joe Orseno is on record saying that his horses need one over this surface. Beano Creek had a speed and fade spin around the track on Dec. 23. Third place finisher from that heat won a MSW on Saturday. This isn't a MSW... Race 8 - Clm8000N2L 6.0f 1-1A Azpurua Entry (7-2) A pair of Proudest Romeo fillies both coming off a MCL8k victory. The 1A, Oriental Beauty ran a superior race, but the 1, Anarkli looks to be able to compete with these too. Lezcano named on both, one sure to scratch. 4 - Blew by Them (3-1) Ran a nice one, third off the layoff. Centeno sees fit for a return ride. She will have to battle for the lead, but the shorter distance will help. 2nd @ 5-2 Race 9 - Alw19200N1X 6.5f 1 - West Texas (3-1) Texas Glitter colt set the pace for the very talented Curious Tiger in his last. Was well clear of third place in that heat. Second off a layoff and turning back in distance should do the trick. 2nd @ 9-2 $2 EX paid $110.40 9 - Wild Inquiry (10-1) Scace/Cotto (33% winners) combo looking to keep this gelding undefeated. Should sit a nice trip stalking West Texas from the outside post. Won @ 5-1 8 - Diplomatic Charm (5-2) The obvious horse, just ran a nice third (beaten 2 1/2 lengths) at this level. His last two Beyers dwarf this field, therefore his price will be short. The $54 play (on the turf): 6 - 4,5,8 7 - 3,5,9 8 - 1,4 9 - 1,8,9 GL Last edited by Bigsmc : 01-23-2007 at 04:20 PM. |

Nice day Bigs. You didn't get beat much in the 8th there. That $239 p-3 paid ridiculously well. Way to go.

4th at 31-1 after a being bumped hard out of the gate and then forced wide into the first turn. Watch list for this gal for her next out on the turf. |
