That was probably good for both of them. So far no depression for Barbaro which is amazing considering how active he was.

As much as the focus has been on the animal, and rightly so, you have to be heartbroken for Prado as well.

Let's not forget that only a few months ago, Prado's mother passed away from cancer in their native land. He believes that had she been in the United States she may have had more of a fighting shot, but they couldnt square the paperwork away fast enough. I think I heard on the Sirius program that the day after the Preakness, some assholes in the grandstand at Belmont were razzing him for bad rides on that card. Just classless.

He has been through ALOT. I imagine this little visit was something he needed to lift his spirits somewhat. Hopefully he's doing okay.

Many people think that these guys don't care but i'll never forget the picture of Randy Romero holding the reign of Go for Wand and the anguish in his face.

Weren't people killing Prado last year for his actions on FUnfair in the BC Mile, or am I thinking of someone else?

They were booing him in NY after the Preakness. Unbelievable.

I remember people booing Dominguez in Charles Town last year after A Huevo broke down. You get one of the best three or four jocks in the country to ride at your podunk track for one night per year, his horse gets hurt, and you boo him?

Another reason why derbytrail.com is superior to ESPN: A Huevo isn't a curse word!
