36 minutes . . .

Seems as if I stay on for an hour I'll have an hour wait time. 2 hours, 2 hour wait time.

That makes sense.

All we wanted was general admission. Took an hour, but we got them.

Statement from Craig Fravel on BC Ticket Sales

“We are extremely pleased with the incredibly high demand for tickets to the 2015 Breeders’ Cup World Championships at Keeneland. Since we opened up public sales at 12 p.m. ET today we have sold approximately 25,000 tickets through 5,500 unique transactions. Most of the reserved seating available for both October 30 and 31 sold out within hours. However, there remains some highly desirable inventory including General Admission for both days, and limited availability in the trackside Bourbon Lounge located at the top of the stretch featuring expansive views of the action. We encourage fans to visit Breederscup.com or call 1-877-TIX-4CUP (call center hours are M-F, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. ET). We also have great seats in both the Entertainment Center and Keene Barn. We greatly appreciate fans being patient with our ticketing system while we processed the unprecedented volume of inquiries during the first hour of ticket sales and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.

“Total ticketing for the 2015 Breeders’ Cup is projected at 77,000 for the two days (tickets for The Hill & The Meadow are per car, and allow access of all occupants of the car, so the estimated attendance is 42,000-45,000 each day). After today’s public sales, we have sold 60,000 of those tickets, and have approximately 17,000 available.”

I started trying at 12 and finally got my GA tix at 1:20..got alot of errors for the first 10 mins then got put into a queue that went up and up in time...a couple times the buy screen popped up..i hit buy and it just put me back into the queue. I totally expected all of this though...websites simply can't handle the pressure..it would make sense to stagger the sales. Sell Friday tix one day Saturday another day...sell all GA on one day reserved another day..anything to take some heat off

I can't believe they are daring to add the "car attendees"... You are tailgating. You won't see a horse except on the big screen TVs. You'll be better served sitting in your home and saving your travel $$ and betting. I really wanted to go to a Breeders Cup not in California. Being on the East Coast and a young middle class mom with a small child excludes me from spending excess amounts of cash on travel and entertainment. We have done Churchill for BC and enjoyed it immensely. When they announced KEENELAND I was elated. That's a mere 5 hour drive and one night in an overpriced hotel and at most 2 days of a babysitter for the kiddo. Sad part is I've realized a trip to Santa Anita would actually be cheaper most likely (and far more enjoyable) than this years BC would be. Very, very disappointing but there will be more breeders cups. I'm just embarrassed how badly the ticketing system worked and how badly the average fan was treated.

I'm the average fan and feel I was treated just fine.. Waited an hour and a half in the queue but its too be expected. Everyone is trying to go and everyone is trying to get in at the same time..hot concerts, sports events etc all have the same caveats...you ever try to get Paul McCartney tix? Now that's a hard ticket...

21 c hotel "under construction and expected to be completed by the end of 2015. Unless your staying in Louisvile. I would hate to see you get shut out last minute in Lexington if its not completed by BC time.

If you need a hotel room for BC, PM me. I still have two rooms reserved at Comfort Suites in Lexington.

I'll be at the MGM Vegas....

Never there but Keeneland looks so beautiful on TV...very green.

but I hear the outside area is like something out of Deliverance.

Very green is correct. If you consider some of the most historic farms in the history of the sport "scenes from deliverance" then I guess your right. I've never seen anything weird and I've been all over Lexington and surrounding areas over the years. Keeneland is a class act and even with the BC crush if its keeneland staff its going to be handled well
