Default Hmmmm Venue for 8/29???

Canterbury Park looks tempting with the 200K Mystic Lake Derby? I wonder what else is going on next Saturday?

Wellllll, we haven't been to Kamloops for a while. That is, if you can't find anything more interesting to racing fans and handicappers.

Congrats on your Del Mar win. I've heard that a short freshening can work wonders.

Must have been that nice warm and humid New England air that cleared my head. Luck always out ways skill especially in this game and you had a great call on the Pacific Classic. I changed my picks a couple of times (I know better) and missed out on my original exacta pick for the Classic.

I'm waiting for suggestions . . . is Saratoga still running?

I've been breathing that "nice warm and humid New England air" for some time now and it hasn't done a d**n thing for my handicapping. RQ will confirm that I haven't made a penny in the ROI for a couple of months now. I did share the prize in Steve's $24 trifecta contest on Saturday, so it's not all bad.

I think that Saratoga is still running; it IS the August place to be. They have a couple of semi-historic stakes races on Saturday and I've heard that all of the folks who let you park your car on their front lawn are adding another zero to the advertised price. Must be expecting a big crowd for something special.

I think I'll check it out, thanks.

OK . . . all joking aside, it's Saratoga of course . . . with 7 awesome stakes races and a chance to see American Pharoah do something that has only been done once before . . . as he works his way towards the BC Classic. And I still maintain we have not seen him at his best yet.

Ballerina S (gr. I) BC 3&up f/m 7f
Ketel One Ballston Spa (gr. II) 3&up f/m 8.5f
King's Bishop S (gr. I) 3yo 7f
Personal Ensign (gr. I) BC 3&up f/m 9f
Priority One Jets Forego (gr. I) BC 3&up 7f
Sword Dancer (gr. I) BC 3&up 12f
Travers S (gr. I) 3yo 10f

It will be a fun but gripping day when it's time for the Travers.
