empire looked a little green on the wrong lead in the stretch but he could peek at the right time.

So classic empire will be about 2/1 in that race....
I am going to find a longshot to bet, bad horses win bad races and this year is shaping up historically bad.

Agree. 4-1 9-2 range. With Always Dreaming and IWC not far behind.

Looked at the race yesterday and thought ...oh clasiic empire is back then watched again and saw the 2 horses on the lead runnibg sideways in the stretch, neither of which wanted the distance. Ok so two races as a 3 year old he and he has not even approached his 2 yesr old Fig of 102.. at 2 years old.... he will be one of the favorites and like others . However don't see many horses stepping up to surprise at Hugh odds ...as many of the entrants are distance challenged at 9f and will be dead at 10f. May be is commingled around but don't see it yet....willl wait and see the run up to the KY Derby.

I'll take 7 to 10 -1 on those horses as below them so far ther is not much... see a lot of horses appear to be having trouble at 9 f..... let see the run to the Derby.

IWC at 15-1? Who else has 2 good, somewhat fast races? He is no worst then 3rd choice.

Been done before and someone may improve but I think you are dealing with a handful who could win as there appear to be quite a few who may be challenged at '9f and will really be challenged at 'this distance . |

McCraken will not take much money off that last race, and he has no fast races, and Tampa Bay is not going to impress anyone. Gunnevera may take a little money, maybe he gets down to 15/1 along with Gormley.

Gormley should be no lower than 50:1. I'm hard pressed to find a worse horse in the race.

There is no way in Heck that IWC is as high as 12/1.

Yeah, I agree. He kind of feels like 8-1 to me.
Who is getting money before him? Classic Empire and Always Dreaming seem like it to me. |

Those are the two favorites for sure. I suppose their might be some unreasonable McCracken backers.

Only two horses in this years field are Gr. 1 winners at 2 & 3.
Classic Empire/Gormley. Thunder Snow made it close, but the UAE Derby is a Gr. 2. In terms of Gormley, you'd have to think that a muddy track would suit him well(Gr. 3 skate in the soup). |
