Steely Dan. Surprisingly,by far the best concert I ever saw was Crosby/Stills/Nash/Young. I wasn't expecting them to be so good.........Neil Young stole the show. Worst concert is also easy.........The Moody Blues, they acted like they didn't want to be there. Back to Steely Dan.........seen them multiples, always a high quality sound. Blondie/Don Henley also put on a good show. I know you guys are going to hate me for this,I live in the Deads backyard and I've never seen them live...........and I even used to date a deadhead, she was great.........as mellow/chill as they come. |

Lol....
Uncanny. Right outside of SF is Colma, the cemetery/graveyard capital of the world.........Colma used to be in the in the Guinness Book of World Records, not sure if it still is. I'm in another city,a very short stones throw away...... Since I go to the track everyday,I should probably look for some kind of cemetery/graveyard hunch play tomorrow. |

Most times, when I listen to older tunes, they bring back memories from long ago, some good, some not so pleasant. Always was one of my favorite songs when I was much younger...this one brings back a good memory or two

So I figure let me play my Old Kentucky Home on my guitar. Then I noticed some verses they don't sing at the races. I understand why.
My Old Kentucky Home chords Stephen Foster The sun shines bright on my old Kentucky home 'Tis summer, the darkies are gay The corn top's ripe and the meadow's in bloom While the birds make music all the day The young folks roll on the little cabin floor All merry, all happy and bright By 'n by hard times come a-knocking at the door Then my old Kentucky home, good night. Weep no more my lady, oh weep no more today. We will sing one song for the old Kentucky home for the old Kentucky home far away. They hunt no more for the 'possum and the coon, On meadow, the hill and the shore, They sing no more by the glimmer of the moon, On the bench by that old cabin door. The day goes by like a shadow o'er the heart, With sorrow where all was delight. The time has come when the darkies have to part, Then my old Kentucky home, good night. Weep no more my lady, oh weep no more today. We will sing one song for the old Kentucky home, for the old Kentucky home far away. The head must bow and the back will have to bend, Wherever the darkey may go A few more days and the trouble will end, In the field where sugar-canes may grow. A few more days for to tote the weary load, No matter, 'twill never be light. A few more days till we totter on the road, Then my old Kentucky home, good night. Weep no more my lady, oh weep no more today. We will sing one song for the old Kentucky home, for the old Kentucky home far away.

There was always some question if Harry Chapin had his heart attack before or after he was struck by the grocery truck, this info. kind of makes me think it was before the accident. http://harrychapin.com/misc/howdied.shtml |
