Default Saratoga Monday Aug. 21st Pick Five

Race 1:
#8 Michael Wonderful: Worked every week in prep for this. Some quality further back on the bottom and a strong bullet at the beginning of the month. Rudy has a stronger record with 2yo FTS in MCL than MSW at SAR.
#1 Ever Young: Linda has a better record in MSW at the Spa but has a strong ITM % with 2yos debuting in MCL.
#4 The Berber: Liked this one last time at a price. 3rd placed runner won a MSW at MTH but the winner got demolished in an off-turf stakes the other day.
#5 Mr. Discretionary

Race 2:
#10 Prima Attrice: Caught 3-4 wide without cover most of the trip from the wide post last time, but never gave up trying. Wasn't beaten much two back by the two likely favs here and would have finished even closer had she not lost a slight bit of momentum on the turf. Looks the value play.
#4 Grand Banks: Had some traffic trouble last out, stuck waiting in last and having to alter out in midstretch. Two back she motored up four wide through a slick 4f-6f split to take the lead and understandably was run down late.
#9 Filly Madison: Only had two 3f and one 4f work when coming off the shelf against these in June. Got in another 5.5f tightener and has two 5f works for this. Not much other pace here and expecting her improved fitness to show late.
#5 She Remembered: Got a much better trip than #4 two back and had every chance to go past the winner last out and didn't.

Race 3:
#7 Charis
#4 Madam Aamoura
#8 Causeway Cutie
#3 Marnesia Big Girl

Race 4:
#6 Sharp Lacey: I think her form is a bit more dirtied up than it should be. Price will be right.
#4 This Bird Can Sing: Barn upgrade off the claim but there's not much turf pedigree there. One sib could handle the green but she was by Freud.
#5 Cetara: Like her cutting back to 5.5f.
#3 Tres Charmant

Race 5:
#7 He's Cheeky: Blew away a similar type field two back and not disgraced when facing older and tougher last time. Couldn't have flown from the back any faster than he did.
#9 Patriot Drive: Demolished MSW foes when trying the grass and shaded for the first time. Like the trainer switch to Gargan.
#1 Hembree
#6 Ben of the Bridge
