ROI Results 8/4 @ Saratoga

[Real Quiet]

Saratoga Saturday didn't provide any big returns but 3 players made a profit and 5 winning wagers
were recorded. Cal828 hit an exacta in race 8 and El Prado hit the winner in the 9th but neither
could collect any points by going over the breakeven point. While there were no big winners one
of the greatest streaks in our contest was ended. Ruffian takes the show spot by wagering "ON
A FAVORITE". I know why but the fact remains Ruffian bet "A FAVORITE". With Ruffians win
bet in race 7 she made as Indian Hemp would say "fidy cents" but it's enough to get some ROI
points. Joly B takes second place with an exacta box in race 5 which paid $19.80 for each
deuce wagered. This weeks winner was Real Quiet who had a $34 exacta in race 4 for a
$204.00 return and the win. Following are the unofficial results pending any objections. See

Congrats on your ROI win, RQ. And Ruffian, that was "Mucho" good handicapping. I imagine that you were one surprised Cat to see a Bill Mott firster that was 12-1 in the ML beaten down to barely over 2-1 on the tote. In hindsight, the ML was simply wrong and apparently the word on Mucho was more than a loud whisper all over the backstretch. That doesn't help much if you're not on the backstretch to hear the whisper. Of course, the way he ran, 2-1 was downright generous. He looks like a horse with a bright future.

Its funny. I knew what I made and when I saw you had a winner I figured I was doomed and then I saw $6.70 and almost fell off my chair <grin>.Crazy that a 12-1 ML horse wins at 2-1.
