Now you're talking but first things first. 3 weeks from today we leave for Gulfstream and Sunshine Million weekend.

Sunshine Millions is an awesome day. One of my very favorite days of betting all year long. Nonstop action alternating between Gulf and SA, and dont forget about the Aqueduct Inner as another alternative. Great stuff.

Racing should have more of these "themed days". Calder does a great job with its Summit of Speed.

Winter time glooms....good thing the winter hasn't been so bad this year. Next time I'll get out to the track is for the Wood Memorial and then the Preakness, it may be Derby Fever, but nothing beats top class racing in the sunshine.

DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I actually wrote an entire journal entry last year about people who do that -- get all excited for Christmas the second the New Year comes and start shopping for it and everything -- it makes me uncomfortable. How many things do they miss between February and December while they're waiting for Christmas. Do they go to Labor Day barbecues, or do they stay home because they're getting ready for Christmas?

I always end up wishing half of my life away because I hate winter so much...the countdown to spring starts the day after Christmas...if I didn't love the x-mas holiday so much it would probably begin even sooner

i'm the same way -- this winter hasn't been bad so far in michigan *knock on wood*

that's why i miss portland...i can handle 40 days in a row of light rain as long as it's 45 degrees out, but i hate snow and i hate the cold.

i hope that michigan gets super cold, like 0 degrees right around January 26, so then I can at least rub it in when I'm in Florida. What's the use if it's 50 at home?!

I shouldn't complain either because it is 45 here right now, and the ground isn't frozen so I can still ride...but I know we are going to get bitch slapped by mother nature one of these days soon

202 days? That's all..? That means it's 202 days until I get to hear...

"Steve... Steeeeve... STEVE!!"
