I was halfway joking, Andy... LOL

I doubt he wins, but I could see him getting up for 2nd or 3rd.

I haven't looked at the pps yet. I imagine on a fair track Jazil will be very tough. I have zero confidence in Corinthian but he certainly can win. None of the other names jumped out at me so I don't see why Doc Cheney can't get a piece.

This is Jazil's second race off a layoff, correct? Other than breaking from an outside post on the silly track configuration, I like his chances.

I think this is an overused excuse for horses who lose at low odds, SNS is one of them. If a horse is good enough he can win breaking from the outside. It will not hurt Jazil's chances one bit but he may need an excuse if he burns more money.

in an 8 horse field, I don't think it will hurt his chances either... but SNS from the 12 hole had to be a negative... he may not have been good enough to win anyway... but that was really a disadvantage IMO.

While constant excuses become tiresome, the outside in 1 1/8 mile races is a potential liability, though for a closer like Jazil who will likely drop back quickly it is less of a disadvantage. Plus, post seven is a lot different that post 11 or 12.

I dont think SNS was compromised the slightest bit by his post. Ramon did a great job and he had a shot to win, he even looked like a winner turning for home. Excuses for horses who are overbet are getting old.

Jazil could break from any hole and still be where hes going to be, dead last for the majority of the race.

I completely disagree. While Dominguez did a good job under the circumstances, five or six wide on the first turn is a huge disadvantage, and certainly at least contributed to Sweetnorthernsaint's defeat.

I understand what you're saying, but how to you explain the stat that only one horse in the past 3 years has won from the 10 post or farther outside? (not my stat, read it on drf.com) are they all overbet favorites?

What a great name for a horse. The name alone makes me want to bet on her.

Jazil should crush that field -- if he doesn't then retire him.

Running style combined with GP makes him no cinch. While he should crush the field can easily see him not win. Corinthian does not intrigue me at all and agree Doc Cheney has had too many chances. Prado on King of Jazz possibly? Is he in Nafzger barn now or Zito?

I guess anybody can change their mind(so I won't call it a lie,) but I am pretty sure this trainer said he would never bring Jazil to this track again.Said he just didn't do well (in any way)when brought to Southern Florida.
