Scam Artist at my door

Again!! A few of you might remember the last time this took place. Same m.o. My dogs hear something(gee that's f'n rare.) I look out towards the front of my house,and see a Black Male on some steps leading up to my porch.A Black lady is down waiting on the sidewalk.He sees me as I am talking on the phone to somebody,and he waves hi.Meanwhile, the dogs are simply not happy about any of this.At this point,I can't see faces well,but to be honest,I thought it was the son of a Lady who lives across the street(that guy's build is very similar...tall,thin,similar style of dress.) I was on the cell phone,but I go to see the guy.O.K.,so I am talking to my friend on the phone,and look through my front window(basically,I am 2 feet away from the guy,but separated by a layer of glass.) Suddenly,I realize, there is a problem.Once again,somebody who says they use to live in the neighborhood.He acts like he recognizes me.I am face to face with an f'n criminal(once again.)Is it the same guy as last time? I don't know.That was during the day,and this is at night.I think this was a different guy(I will say 5-8 years older.) Same build,height.So,I keep talking to my friend(who is telling me the man I have before me is the Antichrist.)I am trying to concentrate on both conversations.I have already asked him what he wants(by saying "YES" in a questioning matter.)All he has said is that he is so n' so,and he used to live a couple houses down.I know this guy is scamming."I SAY WHAT DO YOU WANT." He says he is with his wife and nobody will help them.Far too f'n familiar to last time this took place.I tell him that I am busy with something,and I can't.I say again.."I Can't." He gives me an o.k. sign,and is gone(like there are $20 bills laying in the street up the block.) I mean they came out of nowhere,and they were gone (like Bewitched.)I looked out a window pretty quickly,but they were gone.This time I called the cops,and let them know.They came by(looking through the neighborhood for them.) I have no idea what would have taken place if my dogs didn't let me know somebody was out there.I have no idea how they could hear them.There were zero open windows in front.The backyard sliding door is open just wide enough for a dog to get out.There are bars etc. in front of the glass.The dogs(from the inside of the house)had to hear these people talking.The sounds had to either go over a roof,or bend 180 degrees(to get around the side of the house.) They can hear so damn well.

I hate this kind of stuff. I live in StL, and am in the urban environs quite often. The place I've encountered most scammers is in the grocery store parking lot.

Woman comes up in a frenzy, tells you her car is out of gas and the kids are in the car. They just need four or five bucks to get gas. So, the skeptic I am I say, ok, let me see your kids in your car and the container you're going to use to get gas. Sure enough, they've got that covered. Three kids in the car and a brand new container for gas. So, being the a-hole skeptic I am I say, ok, show me your gas guage. Sure enough pegged on E. So I give them $5. Big whoop, i feel like a hero. Same thing happens next week at the same store, different woman. And then a couple weeks later yet again!

Douche bags...that's just idiotic to lie and swindle people in front of your kids. One lady had her kid with her and she actually told me she needed gas money to take her kid down to the hospital for his cancer treatment. I hate to be rude, but, I don't even speak to them now.

i had a lady approach me in a parking lot, needed gas she said...no money-i might have felt somewhat sympathetic had she not been puffing away on a cigarette at the time. i turned her down. kills me when people say they have no grocery/bill money, but they have funds for smokes and booze! prioritize people!

Scudzie, the dogs hearing that is no surprise, hearing and smell are their strongest senses, ESPECIALLY hearing. Eyes are their worst sense. When some jerkoff vet told my family and I that our golden was going blind (some kind of corena crap) he said that she would be able to still function becuase she would know where everything was, and that her hearing and smell would increase, because of the loss of a sense. She didn't go blind, vet tells my mom that he will take care of the golden for free for life, mom tells vet to GFH.

The golden and c-ckapoo are crazy here, hear everything, especially c-ckapoo, 3am and she gets an intestinal HOWL like the world is ending, if something is going on outside, could be wind, could be stupid kids, I pull up all quiet and they know I am home and I am across the street, they are waiting at the door knowing it is fun time
