HH,
Here's my late Pick 4 ticket: RACE 6 I'm using the ship-in HOOMAU because of the barn change, "run and gun" Chucky Lopez and the weak field in here. TIMELY PUNCH also gets included off the cutback and drop-down. The runner-up from her last start came back to win easily today at the MSW level. Eibar taking over on FLASH LIGHTNING and the hood going on earns her a spot on the ticket in this wide-open leg 1. RACE 7 I think CASEY'S JOY is a developing good thing, as his maiden win showed. He might once again be able to get a clear lead and Kiaran/Garcia is a very solid combination. I'm also using perpetual bridesmaid WHO WHAT WIN and inner track lover RISES THE PHOENIX. RACE 8 the feature should go to either of the two favorites in my opinion. GOLDEN DREAMER has looked invincible in her last three starts. If she gets out quick from the rail she could be very tough. HUNGARIAN BOATBABY looks tough on the outside should the favorite get tripped up. RACE 9 WOODMERE is an intriguing possibility because there could be a good amount of speed between Major Deegan and RAW CAT. The latter looms a tough customer off a solid try last time out. His jockey bailed to ride the biggest money burner of the fall-winter meet at Aqueduct so far, PRECISE ALLOY. Having failed at odds of 4/5, 3/5, and 3/5, he will try to rectify things with the public by delivering at hopefully a better price today. THE TICKET: 6,7,9/1,5,7/1,6/5,8,10 TOTAL: $54 Good luck! Thanks for the input.
I pretty much agree with your analysis of races 7 - 8, but see the 6th and 9th a little differently. Race 6: # 3 Leave it in the Ring - is taking a big drop and first time lasix and the way the speed has been holding this week looks inviting. # 5 Today's Charmer - ran OK on the fast inner in her last to attempts there and drops a little bit lower on the ladder. #2b Union Center - looks a bit intriguing after droppig to 35K and leading for the first half last out. Hopefully that was a race to build some stamina in her and I look for an improvement today. Race 9: #10 Precise Alloy - He cost me the P4 in his last outting so I think he owes me. I'll let him burn some more of my $, hopefully I get a better price today. # 6 Karakorum Thunder - I'll throw out his last going the classic distance of a 1 mile & 70yds. I think he is better sprinting than going two turns. #1 Skim the Rail - Is coming of a brief freshner getting blinkers and likes to be on the lead. I'll take a shot with him. My late Pick 4 will probably look like this: 3,5,7 / 1,5,8 / 1/ 3,8,10 = $ 48 Last edited by Holland Hacker : 02-17-2007 at 08:27 PM. |

The exacta in the 8th race should have paid more than $166 with both favorites out of it. Somebody knew something here.
1/2 shot quits like she was meant to. Something fishy for sure. |
