thanks. who do you like in the 7th. That one looks tough as well. Lack of pace could cause a problem for a few. I would say I like #2 and #3 the best in that one, but would need to go to almost ALL to feel comfortable.

I rarely play Santa Anita during the week, but am making an exception tomorrow because Honnette is running.
I agree with the pace scenerio being non-existant which could hurt her (and I thought she might be a price, but 5/2 ML instead). Still, anyone who missed her first race, go watch it. Absolutley incredible burst of speed after finding trouble down the stretch. Looked like anything but a first timer starter.

I didn't look at race 4, but I did handicap race 6. Pretty uneventful card, and Gomez, Nakatani and Flores are all heading to Dubai.

The 8 scratched, and looked pretty live in this spot.
If the 5 and 9 duel, I think the 3 has a great chance.
It's hard to take any of the first timers seriously, and ditto on the Turf Paradise shipper. I think it has to be one of the top 3 I mentioned above.
In order, I would go
3
5
9

Default Race 7

While I can't stand betting Beau Greeley, his horse has a shot in that race I think. Dirt was an obvious try to see where they stood and the horse basically told them no, I think she is one of the few in this race that is bred for this distance. I like the work pattern also. The other thing that caught my eye was Victor jumping aboard....

true, Espinoza and a few bullet works say must use if a decent price. Have no idea what the horse is or isnt, but have to respect in this race as all have questions. I prob. like Patty's horse best of all though.

Root, why do you play SA so often, when Kentucky is your backyard?

I seldom play the left coast, rarely doing well there.

always been my home tracks, know some horse people out there and I guess that is why I stay west. I try to stay there, but also pick up keeneland and churchill when they are running.

Plus, BIG pools.....better payouts for the multi race wagers I like to play.

4rth 4-1-2

6th Think the 9 taking blinks off indicates she will try and rate. Should none of the firsters be quick out of the gate (maybe the 2) it leaves the 5 on the lead alone and Monteleone is 3/10 for the win and 7/10 ITM for 2nd start MCL's. The 3 looks like she needs a pace to run into and she won't get it today IMO.

with scratches in

Race 2 pic 3
2,3/1,4/1,2,4

Race 4 pic 3
4/47/5

Race 5 pic 4
4.7/5/3,6,7/6,9 won paid 282.90

If only I had gone to the track and played a parlay 4-7 exacta box to a 5 win to a 3-6-7 tri box to a 6-9 ex box it would be 45K profit. See what I go through. LOL
since I'm not playing today I can sit back and root against myself.

Well I have to wager on Race 1 - A 2 Furlong race for 2 year olds. Pedroza has won both races so far for 2 year olds. So I am going to wager $200 to win on the strong fav 8 horse Destiny Dreamer.

Just playing a Pick 4 today.

5) 5,7,8
Royal Classic takes a huge drop and gets Pedroza back. Runs in the Family should win, but if something flukey happens, Plan for fun could finally grab a win stretching out to this distance.

6) 3,5
I'm predicting Espinoza's horse takes the lead and doesn't look back, but just in case....

7) 7
Risky single, but I loved this filly's debut. Trust Drysdale and don't think she needs a hot pace to close into to win this. What she gives up on experience, she'll make up for with natural ability. I'm not overly impressed with any of the other runners here.

8) 1,3,5,6,9
If Mysterious Cat comes up short, it's anyone's race. Took a long look at the 9 in here. Reclaim for Wallace, and ran some races late last year at Turf Paradise that would make him tough in here. Freshened and trainer is a good 40% with this type of layoff.

$30 pick 4.
Good luck everyone.

Honnete was really impressive... Impressive enough for the m/l fav tag but I don't think she will be the betting fav... but I believe she will get a clean trip from the post and be well placed enough to make the first move and be the one to catch at the wire... the 2 and 3 will have to move early to catch her and tire ... the 6 may sneak into the tri....

2367 tri box
