Hollywood opening day.....ahh....I can almost smell the stale beer, B.O. and gun powder in the grand stands. I love Friday night racing, which kicks off this week - but lets take a stab at the opening day card.
thats the truth and you had me LOL with the gun powder.

thanks guys, just one of those days where I was in the zone and the public just missed stuff...........and I was very lucky. I will be capping Irish, but only through the 2nd as that is when I get cut off as Brisbet Americatab is cut off from the hollywood signal

Thanks hooves....amazing day, thanks to everyone for being so cool and let me bask in a great day.....at least BT and Aryan hit for $6,600 each based on me posting it.

Turning $30+$16 tickets into $10k requires a large amount of plain luck. I was in the zone and really liked those long shots, as I posted. Rarely do they come in.

Talking Record

Just noticed, the "(p)lay the wood" post made $23,000 for people today.....think that is a record? Sad part is that I am probably still not at a positive ROI for the board......

From the Paddock.. but since Selections Room denizens rarely venture out of here, I thought I'd add it here as well... Great work Root!

Usually these plaudits are reserved for the Selections Room, but as with GPK at Tampa and Hooves at KEE, these kinds of free money scores are too amazing to limit...

Rootdog today offered DTers modest investment P3/P4 options for Hollywood's Opening Day and the response and success was stunning...

A $30 P4 Play returned more than $6,300, the P3 more than $3,600.. over $10,000 combined and with a $100.00 winner/$3,300 trifecta in there to boot.. Root, BT and ARyan all hit and I'm sure there are silent winners out there too...

The spirit of cooperation and generosity here is amazing to me, and all who share their time and expertise so willingly with others like this are to be widely recognized and appreciated.

Congrats and thanks to Root on an amazing afternoon in the hood at the Wood...

Thanks Steve. It has been an amazing day, and it is very rewarding knowing that some on the board had big paydays right along with me. This is a great thing we have here, and you are to thank. We share in winning days and losing days, just glad to have a winning one today.
