![]() An article in the DRF is stating that Catalano is giving serious consideration to the Oaks for Dreaming of Anna, because she is training so well.

![]() It might be a little unfair to blame the trainer on this one.
Wouldn't the Ashland, a $500K Grade 1 on polytrack, have been the right spot? One has to wonder why she missed that race and therefore how she could be ready for the Oaks. It looks more and more likely she will never win again. Not all that surprising. |

i also think a race over poly would have been a better spot, since she's training so marvelously on it. then again, she has speed, so maybe dirt is the better option. if they really had half a clue, they'd try running her on turf. who knows, she might even like it! |

![]() my mistake drugS. the gulfstream turf is pretty ridiculous, so i dont pay much attention to races on that surface.

If she were to suddenly swing for the Derby, I'd feel so terrible for Teuflesberg. It's like just when they think he's back in, someone puts the screws to his chances. Not that he's my super duper fave but c'mon they keep getting jerked around. |

The Summer Stakes she won at Woodbine last year was on grass...as was the Tippet Stakes she won at Colonial. |

![]() She was the most "overrated" 2 year old filly champion of all time...Rags to Riches would eat her alive now

![]() first of all wayne wouldnt lose his mind, hes very sharp and makes alotta levings bad claims look good. i guess catman can do no good in anyones eyes. we had sickos last year here at hawthorne including some backside people rooting against them down the lane in the BC, now some are questioning him. i wouldnt call her the most overrated 2yo filly champ of all time, some horses mature alot more between ages 2 and 3

![]() Private trainer, big owner, and they've been married and divorced and married again -- more than once, LOL. I often question who is calling what shot in many cases -- jock, spot, etc.
From what I hear, Catalano is going public, maybe full blown, and Calabrese is moving some of the soldiers around, or just riding out what he has and restocking with a few others. Maybe true, maybe not. Not really sure. Eric |

![]() I just dont know if I could train for him. I have heard some crazy things about his owner skills.

![]() Also, I don't know if he's still on the team -- he's been off and on before as well -- but Steve Leving is/was also involved. I don't know any of them personally. I did meet Wayne once.
However, regardless of who calls the shots, this guy is a high % trainer. He's produced for other owners before. They play the game the right way, place their horses aggressively, etc. In the past, Catalano was training for Turf Express, and a few other owners also. Eric |

![]() She obviously likes Churchill and this isn't the greatest group of 3 year old fillies ever. She could finish in the money in the Oaks. This is a hundred times easier to rationalize than first-time starter in the Arkansas Derby.

![]() Horses that run in major races as after thoughts very rarely do well. Add that to the fact that she's not that good and you have a serious also ran.
