Default Huckabee Jr- Dog Killer?

Has anyone else heard about this? I can't find what newspaper it's from:

"(Miller County, Arkansas) Two boy scout counselors, 17 year old Clayton Frady and 18 year old David Huckabee, the son of Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, have admitted to catching a stray dog during their summer session at Camp Pioneer in Hatfield, AR, and hanging the dog by his neck, slitting his throat and stoning him to death.

Camp officials, who did not report the crime to law enforcement officials, have admitted that the act did occur and have fired the boys from their positions. However, no charges have been filed against the young men.

Arkansas State Police conducted a perfunctory investigation, but did not attempt to locate witnesses to the crime."

Wasn't Huckabee's son just caught trying to carry a loaded gun on a plane?

yeah, huckabee was arrested at little rock airport. he has a concealed carry permit, but of course guns aren't allowed on planes. it was a glock--the officer said 'do you know what we found in your bag' and he replied 'i do now'. they said it's actually a fairly common occurrence. he already appeared for the misdemeanor charge, got a fine and probation i believe.
the dog case is from several years ago-no charges filed, as no one filed a complaint.

Thanks; I was curious as to how old the article was. Still a mean thing for a teenager (I'm assuming he was a teenager at the time) to do. Of course, who's going to file charges on behalf of a stray dog, right?

B- I'm utterly perplexed about your comment- I found that on a site (reading about an utterly different topic) and was curious if it was true. Danzig was kind enough to fill me in.

I myself would have said "clitoris level" since that's where all the good stuff happens. But I must admit I admire the alliteration of what you came up with. Thanks for the laugh; I needed it at the end of this crappy week.

This stopped me in mid-coffee gulp and the mouthful dribbled down my chin as I gaped in horror.

Seriously, this psycho and his friend should be microchipped. Predictably, serial killing will be next.

Wait a minute here.You can:

1)hang a dog
2)cut the throat of a dog,and
3)stone a dog

without being locked up? What fine area of the country is this?

I really find it disturbing that a kid could do that. If they had killed the animal because it was feral and thought it had rabies... But hang, then mutilate? Something aint right. I envision these kids having a good ole time?

Your humanity is endearing Scuds. Somehow I can see you enjoying that scene carried out on a southern good ole boy, but a dog is off limits.

apparently since no one filed a complaint (no dog owner, a stray?) then there was nothing filed.
they're trying to get more strict here with laws about cruelty to animals, as are a lot of states. too many states have them as misdemeanors.

As far as I'm concerned, Danzig is the only good thing to come from Arkansas in the last 25 years!(and theres' plenty between those lines)

You said there was plenty between those lines, which I assume meant you were throwing a wide net. Why don' 'cha get more specific? Or, to quote one of my favorite posters from earlier on this thread:

"You partisans are really diggin deep here! Goodness... lol"
